Fed by a natural spring that originates in Downtown Decatur, the falls spill dramatically over moss-covered rock, split by a natural island, and stretch more than 100 feet in width. Originally formed in the 1830s by the redirection of Peavine Creek, the waterfall is both a historical artifact and a living, breathing element of the home—its sound and motion ever-present, seen and heard from nearly every room.
