At the heart of The Falls is its namesake: a breathtaking, 120-foot cascading waterfall that defines the soul of the property. Fed by a natural spring that originates in Downtown Decatur, the falls spill dramatically over moss-covered rock, split by a natural island, and stretch more than 100 feet in width. Originally formed in the 1830s by the redirection of Peavine Creek, the waterfall is both a historical artifact and a living, breathing element of the home—its sound and motion ever-present, seen and heard from nearly every room. Whether viewed through the glass walls or from one of the private bedroom balconies, the falls anchor daily life in something elemental and awe-inspiring.
More than just a scenic backdrop, the waterfall creates an immersive experience that shifts with the seasons and time of day. Mist rises in the early morning light, while golden-hour sun refracts through falling water in the late afternoon, casting dynamic reflections into the home’s interiors. It is both constant and ever-changing—framing moments of calm, offering a natural soundtrack, and connecting architecture to something wild and enduring. In every sense, the waterfall is not an accessory to the home—it is the home’s heart.
